Terms and Policies

Client Policies and procedures

Welcome to Lapis Bodywork! We are committed to providing you with the highest quality bodywork and massage therapy services in a professional and respectful environment. To ensure a positive experience and set expectations for a therapeutic relationship, please read the following policies:


Punctuality: Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Late arrivals may result in a reduction of hands on time during the appointment to avoid delays for other scheduled clients. The full fee for the scheduled service will be charged regardless of late arrival.

Clients that are more than 5 minutes late, please call 541-638-8386 to let us know. Clients that are more than 15 minutes late may require rescheduling. The cancellation policy may apply based on availability and discretion.


Cancellations: Clients must provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full price of the session. 

Clients who consistently cancel may be refused future appointments. Emergencies and illness will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

To cancel or reschedule an appointment more than 24 hours in advance, use the online booking system on MassageBook. To cancel or reschedule an appointment less than 24 hours in advance, please call or text 541-638-8386. 


No-Shows: Clients must provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Missing an appointment without proper notice will result in a no-show fee of 100% of the service fee. Clients who consistently no-show may be refused future appointments.


Payment: Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made. Credit cards or cash payments are accepted.


Hygiene: Please arrive showered and clean to receive bodywork. Clients who exhibit strong odors may be asked to reschedule the session if the odor impacts the treatment space for other scheduled clients.


Health and Safety: It is the client’s responsibility to fully complete the intake form, and inform the LMT of all known medical conditions, injuries, and medications. Any changes to the client’s health or medical condition must be communicated to the LMT. The client agrees not to hold the LMT liable if the client does not inform them of changes to health history.

If a client experiences pain or discomfort during the session, it is the client’s responsibility to immediately inform the LMT so that the pressure and techniques can be adjusted to an appropriate level of comfort. The client does not hold the LMT responsible for pain or discomfort experienced during or after the session.


Scope of Practice: Massage therapy is provided for stress reduction, relaxation, relief from muscular tension, and improvement of circulation and energy flow. The services offered today are not a substitute for medical care. The LMT cannot perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat physical or mental illness.
